About the costumes:
This business is a one woman work of love. I create traditional renfaire costumes such as European renaissance clothing, German Landsknecht costumes, English renaissance costuming, Irish garb, Spanish renaissance attire. These creative costumes are essential for renfaire cosplay, LARP games, theatre groups and films too.
Faire Ladies, Faire Lords was established in 1996, in business. I specialize in small batch handmade ‘traditional renfaire’ costuming. Fabrics are quality natural linen, wool, cottons and some lovely brocades too. My work is based on historical designs and Made in the USA.
There is a lot of work in these renaissance costumes, from drafting patterns by hand to prewashing and shrinking the fabrics. These days, I’m in love with linen and linen blend fabrics. You’ll see a lot of items in my catalog made with those fibers. Its really good stuff, basically an excellent ethical choice for keeping our planet clean and safe. Other fabrics I use are all deadstock from Los Angeles Fabric District. IMO another good ethical solution for our modern times.
Renaissance Faires
I am a vendor at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire at Santa Fe Dam, California and at the Northern California Renaissance Faire at Casa De Fruta in Hollister, CA. These two great shows keep me busy! I’m grateful to be a part of these artisan-driven shows for over 5 years currently.
Previously, I was one of the original participants at the Koroneburg Renaissance Festival in Eastvale, California. I had a booth in that magical place for over 25 years, you can read about it in my blog. Here is a video we made about it in 2020. <3
